En la Universidad de Texas han creado un músculo con inteligencia artificial en forma de gel, con una resistencia mayor a materiales cómo el acero, que podría ser usado en super robots con una fuerza sobrehumanoide.
El material que se utilizo tiene características principal nanotubos de carbono y es transparente, muy ligero, elástico como hule pero a la vez más fuerte que el acero. Y con un estimulo eléctrico puede expandir hasta triplicar su tamaño en cuestión de milesegundos, También sus condiciones son tan extremas para soportar bajas temperaturas -190 ºC o hasta 1700 ºC.
Con estas nuevas propuestas podemos ver un futuro muy cercano en convertir al hombre biónico porque gracias a la nanoestructuras se podría desarrollar nuevos materiales tan resistentes como el diamante y la goma elástica.
