Avatar 3D
El cineasta estadunidense James Cameron, director de “Titanic”, regresará a la pantalla grande con “Avatar” una producción con tecnología 3D la cual se estrenará en diciembre.
El filme de ciencia ficción que mezcla a actores reales con tecnología virtual es uno de los proyectos más ambiciosos de Cameron según reveló él mismo a la publicación estadunidnese “Variety”.
“Todas las películas que he hecho anteriormente podrían haberse beneficiado absolutamente del formato 3D, por lo tanto, creativamente, yo considero esta técnica una extensión natural de mi oficio de cineasta”, aseveró.
El director de “Terminator”, quien empezó a crear la idea de “Avatar” desde la década de los 90 concretó este filme hasta mediados del 2002.
“No podía comenzar a rodar este proyecto, ya que en años anteriores no se contaba aún con la tecnología que conocemos ahora, y yo requería de eso para plasmar lo que quería transmitir”, refrió a la publicación.
“Avatar” se estrenará el 18 de diciembre y narra la historia de un ex marino enviado al lejano planeta Pandora para esclavizar y explotar sus recursos, pero que una vez allí se une a la resistencia de una raza indígena.
En “Avatar” no he sido consciente de variar mi forma de rodar en 3D, simplemente estoy aplicando el mismo estilo de siempre.
El filme que cuenta con más de 190 millones de dólares de presupuesto, cuenta con las actuaciones de Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Peter Mensah, Laz Alonso, Wes Studi, Stephen Lang y Michelle Rodríguez.
